'Yank' is the umbrella term used by (as I understand it) most European countries to describe an American. That and a "donut" so I'm told anyway ...

Just because your part of the country failed in what as a whole nation succeded at, it doesn't mean you need to take offence to being called a yank. Ok Joe Bob, or should I call you Johnny Reb?
