Well if your lookin at playin tournaments then you may as well get yourself a marker which will do the Job like a Impulse you can upgrade them so easily theres always ppl sellin decent markers on here so check out the classifieds

It really depends how much you want to spend, what is your budget, I assume you will be needing a full kit including a mask, gun barrels hopper stickers shirts pants cleats hw much you looking to spend mate?

What kind of paintball do you aim to play? If it's just a monthly woodball team then you won't need all the pads etc. If you're aiming for tournaments you will definately need a better marker/equipment than you'd need for woodball.
I would advocate buying a second hand Angel LED/LCD or an older autococker over and Impulse, you'd probably get one for about half the price and since you're new it would make more sense than paying £500 for a marker only to find out 2 months down the road that you don't like tourny ball.
Basically, let us know your budget and what type of ball you're going to be playing primarily.
