I have never had cause previously to complain about marshalling at an event before. Sure, we had some bad calls before, but I personally believe that the overall standard of marshalling at this event was the worst I have ever encountered. And in particular the standard on the Toahawk and Evil fields are worthy of particular mention.
I have no grudge or issue with any teams or nationality, indeed I don't even know who were on these fields - but really, for marshalls to call players out when they "thought" they saw a hit is totally unacceptable, and this happened to us on at least 3 occasions on these fields.
The ultimate on 1 of these fields tried to explain to me that he had some marshalls with limited experience', to justify a wrong call that may have cost us a game.
With respect, that is totally unacceptable. The basics of good marshalling surely is to be sure that a player has been hit, before you call him 'out'.
When will the MS folow the example of NPPL and bring in dedicated reffing crews, in order to try to minimise the number of errors and the claims of favouritism and , let's face it, racism that prevail at these events.
