Well we probably won't bother with the DVD again.. there is no point. If there is a film company that wants to get involved then by all means call me, I spent 6 months working on the last one. I've actually got far more important things to do.
We have been in contact with several TV companies who are all looking at covering the event in one form or another, but not the big show that you all seem to expect. They will focus on the size of the event and the internationality of it all. I m sure Maurice Gibb will bring media interest as well.
The BBC will be there and Radio 5 live are hopefully doing an outside broadcast.
I have spent years raising the media profile of paintball, but rather than letting the bubble burst and the interest to go permanently it is sometimes better to wait until there is something really interesting for the media to focus on.
This is where the likes of X Ball comes in. Anyone can relate to England V Germany or USA V Russia whatever the sport but I 'm afraid team Fat Bloke from Cleethorpes V The Lardies from Bournemouth has very limited appeal. (I hope these teams don't actually exist!!)
For my bit, the focus is on the teams and players. To lay on the best facilities in the best venue etc etc etc.
Sorry for the negativity but there is plenty more stuff in the pipleine media wise.. You are just going to have to wait.
