campaign cup

I live in Brentwood like, 15 mins from basildon, and my nan and grandad live there.

And I can tell you that Campaign is going to be held in Glouster Park, about a 10 min walk from festival lesiure park and basildon town centre.

Glouster park is full of needles and funny smelling roll ups, town centre is full of chavs and old people, and festival lesiure park is the tits!!

Good clubs, good resturaunts, a hollywood bowl, a big cinima... and a holiday inn a 10 min wak from the site.

pretty gd!!!

Whilst your description for the youngsters maybe OK'ish, for the older or more sophisticated here's a brief overview:

Good Clubs?

err nope. Usual Town Center tripe, smells of vomit and you stick to the carpet. Lowlights include Chicago's (not bad for MILFs), Jumpin Jacks (for the peado in you), Ikon and Diva (or whatever they call themselves these days) and Bonds (a sorta genetic experiement to clone chavs gone wrong).

The only club worth frequenting is:

http://www.katzclub.com/index.asp

Which is in Basildon town centre and involves avoiding drivebys, stabbings and being sold hooky pills.

Good Food?

If you like the microwave variety. Culinary delights of TGI Fridays, McDonalds, Nandos, Pizza Hut and if you really fancy having your pants pulled down for overcooked Pasta – Romano’s Grill.

a Hollywood Bowl?

Yep, but should be renamed Hollywood Chav Shotputting.

a Big Cinema?

Nuff said really

and a Holiday Inn?

Full of strumpets and "geezers" on the pull from Ikon and Diva. Anyone looking for a bunk-up would do well here at 2:15 a.m.

Anyone over the age of 16 oughta head towards Brentwood for a nightout (Slug & Lettuce then Sugar Hut / Sams) and stay at the Holiday Inn at Junction 28 M25 - it's about 10 mins in the car from Gloucester Park.

Naa in all fairness there are worse places.

Just depends if you turn left or right out of Glouster Park lol.

Left = Nice (Festival Lesiure Park)
Right = Ive been in better places (Basildon Town)
er I assume you are talking about the swimming pool entrance? If you turn left out of Gloucester Park there you will go past the town if you turn right you'll be on the wrong side of a dual carriageway!

If you meant the other entrance then you have your left & right round the wrong way, but you can't actually turn right you have to go round the roundabout or turn at the B&Q lights.

In reference to needles - I've never seen one there but hey I don't hang out with the junkies, I'm sure there must have been one there at some point its a 100 acre site!

KATZ Club for those not in the know is a gentlemens establishment.

The reason I put this site forward was because of the facilities it provides to the players for after play and the access from the major road network. CP whilst being a larger stadium is a pain in the ass to get to and where does everyone dissappear to at night!

So what is the theory behind it moving to East Basildon this year? Always thought it was strange it went back to Crystal Palace, when you consider how even Campaign's wesbite said it wasn't suitable when justifying moving it to the Birmingham NEC one year. Prefered the NEC as it was more central, but at least Crystal Palace wasn't too hard to get to via train/tube.

Any idea if they are going to do more of a promotional push this year? You know, get paintball noticed outside of the paintball community and get in spectators and media new to the sport? Or is it going to be a closed event again? I hope this year they allow spectators to be able to get up close to ALL the fields like at the NEC.
