We played the JT field the most over the whole weekend (3 times) and I loved it! The bunker setups were designed so that movement was the key factor to being sucessful, and the clump of wingnuts on the tape was a real pain if one of the opposition got in there. However, if one of your team got in there, the angles obtained were awesome! The giant standup on the other tape was a key break out point for the 'bunker monkeys' up front, and many times I saw both teams runners get into there. The angles on the field were very good too, and the lack of cans at the back meant that back players had a longish break and then had to play behind a lay down, or tea bag. Pure genius!
I also loved the Raven field. The huge bunkers on the 50 all the way along made for front player dominated games, which is nice for a change. We constantly sent 2-4 players in there off the break every game, which is usually followed by a minute of confusion when front players are mugging each other out of these huge 50's. The fact that the cans at the back were a distance away from the breakout meant that many back players were getting tagged on the way to their bunkers, and only the faster ones made it. It was nice to have a field like this and some very aggressive, free-flowing games were seen on this field. Keep up the experiments. I'm looking forward to the field layouts in next years Millennium Series
P.S I am a back man, and I enjoyed the fast flowing games, and long breakouts to my corner bunkers
