sooooo... there was a nice big scafolding type platform at the corners of the main fields, but no-one was doing any recording????!!!!! What a waste!!!!!!

Maybe the millenium series as a whole should look towards contracting someone to film each event - like the NPPL.

Got any idea how much making an event DVD costs? Last time it was evidently more hassle than it was worth, so this year they didnt do one.

The scaffolding was there to hold up the netting....not to give camera men prime viewing spots;)

My "waht a waste" comment wasn't aimed at the Campaign Cup promoters. It was more aimed at the anyone who makes these DVD's (actually, that's not quite what I mean, but it's early and I can't be arsed to word it better...). Take the Traumahead DVD's for example. Are they put together by event organisers?

What might be nice, actually, would be to allow video camera holders access to these platforms on the corners of the fields. This may help to encourage more DVD 'zines to be produced, or at the very least give us access to more home-made footage of games for download. Let's face it, it doesn't make for great watching being stuck in the middle of a crowd.

OK, What I meant was that there was soooo much effort put into the organisation and execution of Campaign Cup, that it seemed a shame not to have it documented in some way, shape or form.

The only footage I've seen of that final Legion/Dynasty game is a poor quality, small snippet of the Opie move and a tiny nexus/legion game.

Ive got quite a good idea as to how to get a dvd of your event made & how much it might cost & it really isn't more hassle than its worth if it's done properly;)

At the Euro 5 Man we had the towers boarded out so the film crew could use them, we also had a cherrie picker along side the Draxxus field (all am & pro semis & finals were scheduled for the Draxxus field for the dvd)to get both teams breakouts etc. The cameras were everywhere, there will be LOTS of games from lots of angles, interviews, great soundtrack etc & i know they are breaking there backs to make it understandable even to people who have never played paintball, something i think is always missing in paintball films

This dvd will be the bomb, due out on the 17th Jan so go buy 1:cool:

Matt,

If you had of played the Euro 5 Man then you could have purchased all the footage of your team playing from the film company, which would have been every game you played on the Draxxus field & any other footage the 12 cameras may have cought:eek:

Never mind dude there is always next year;)
