NEC will charge non players/trade for parking. Nowt we can about that I am afraid...........However, there is a great way to avoid paying to park. Use the train!!!

I'm looking for hotel rooms in Birmingham. There is one place, The Britannia, that sounded good because it's next to the train station. Then I checked the reviews.

If you're still looking for rooms, or have a room there, take a look.. there are 35 reviews, 98% are horrific.

note: I generally wouldn't make a post like this but the theft part and the ultra small rooms could present a huge problem.

Travel Inn works out at 36 quid a head if you book a family room for four over the three days. Bit cramped but it's as cheap as you're going to get... Oh, and two of you will have to pretend to be under 16 years of age :) :) :)

Never had any trouble doing it so far...

About 8 mile away from NEC Nearer Birmingham City Centre, Hagley Road has alot of cheap bed & Breakfasts. probably your cheapest option - the trains run about every 10-15 minutes From Birmingham New Street so folk who dont have a car arn't put out

Yep same with Travel Lodge, also as kids get a free breakfast, now thats the advantage of being 16!! Free breakfast, kids bus tickets, an still getting served!! PERFECT!!
I'd check what age they class as kids if you were banking on that free breakfast. I know at one stage they classed kids as under 14, not 16 and under.
