Hydrographics did an Inferno in colour change, walnut and carbon fibre finishes for me a couple of years ago. The finish is basically a coat of very good paint, followed by a (very very cool) cold dipping process that applies the chosen pattern, and lastly a layer of very hard lacquer for protection, which can be gloss, matt, satin or a "soft touch" finish that is very grippy. The camo effects have to be seen to be believed, and they also do all kinds of wood, marble, a huge range of fancy patterns and kickass carbon fibre. Only downside is as a paint-based finish it will chip rather than scratching, but it can be applied to wood, metals and plastics and holds up very well if the toughest finish is applied.
Good luck! :)
