Find me a way where Twisted can get 18k together and we'll do it!!!
As such its looking like Central 7's for us next year plus UK Millenium. Hope to do all MS 2005 season, I'd prefer to do all MS but financially it aint gonna happen and we aren't well known enough as yet to get the deals, hopefully the C7's will change that....

I hope that it will for you, but i sincerely doubt it, as the vast majority of the teams listed below in the C7's are not Euro beaters, or even dominant teams within the UK balling arena. NO DISRESPECT INTENDED!

"Tamworth"Fusion
"Manchester"Inferno
Lincoln Storm
Nitro
Panic Attack
Psycho Pimps
RDXtreme
"Sheffield" Chameleons -
"Bicester" Storm
Notts Tremmor
"Staffordshire" Troggs
UK Jaguars
Northern Outkasts
Warrington Legion
Macclesfield Twisted
Wolverhampton Silverbacks
Stoke Quest
Vortex

Wolverhampton Heat
Shockwave III

"Cannock" Phoenix
Dusted Munky
Don't Panic
"Cambridge" Apocalypse
SWAT

I doubt whether sponsors will keep an eye on the going on in the C7's with a view to backing a team. The standard of competition in the M25 Div 1 is way higher and i dont think that any of the teams have benefitted in a sponsorship respect from playing the M25 or winning the Div 1 title, and these are some of the best teams in the country. Sponsors will keep an eye on the S7, and the MS, if you are a small team attending every event, playing consistently well (as some of the above teams have the capability to do) then sponsors will swarm all over you. Just look at the Wombles withtheir WDP sponsorship, there are many others, but i cant be bothered to name them all.

I genuinely believe that playing small Uk events at the expense of the bigger Euro/USA ones is a mistake for the teams who could do well/have ambitions to do well.

As Mark said, travelling can be cheapened, brive to Germany and Amsterdam, travel with a cheap airline to the others, stay in B&B's/cheap hotels. If you will be at every event then i am sure that UK companies will back you a little to start with then more as you improve. It all depends how much you want it ,whether you are prepared to slumit while you are out there so that you can improve as a team quickly.

You will get far better playing 6 MS events as a team than playing 6 UK events. Playing opposition that are better than you on a regular basis improves your game with suprising speed. TRY IT!

:)

I understand what you're saying, the idea is that local outside industry companies would be interested in sponsoring us as we devour all the other 'towns' before us. ;)
IF the papers get a grip of the C7 league then it may pay off, on the other hand it may not but that's the gamble...
As said I'd love to do all the MS but theres only maybe 3 of us on the team who could afford to play all the MS, even if they walked/swam to each event :( sad, especially with the potential talent in the team but true :(

We reckoned 21k, including taking our pot bitch, to do all 6.
Never mind some of the guys managing to disentangle themselves from Wives, children etc.

But I suppose if the smokers gave up......

Well i have a solution (kinda) to keep at an MS level but not play all the series, maybe 3 or 4.

Have like 3-4 (or all;)) of your team take motion/still cameras and have them record the matches (if possible) of all the top MS teams.

Take whatever you recorded and practice with it.

Keeping in mind that you should play as little UK tournaments as you think you should, as playing in a UK only tourney will distract you from the playing level required in a foreign tournamnet liek the MS.

No offence to the teams in the UK but im just stating what i think.

Ps:paul within 2 years time im sure Twisted will have at least 2-3 decent sponsors, think about the Am A divsion ;)

Personally i would make it either Sweden or Spain

MY best MS this season taking into consideration, the event, nightlife, hotels, locals, and everything except how well my team did in the event i would rate them as:

Campaign
Toulouse
Amsterdam
Sweden
Germany
Portugal
