Aren't you a teacher, Jose? Couldn't you take out your frustrations on a kid and save yourself the injuries? Seriously, get well soon slugger. It is an opportunity to get good with that off hand, if nothing else.

cheers matey :) but the hands pretty much screwed, I think I've lost a fair amount of feeling in it....... left is improving though, so by the time I can pick up a marker my left should be my good side :)

Anyway, not sure how a paintball could cause a severe enough blood clot for a "rush to hospital" paintball bruises are too near the surface to enter a major enough vessel to cause strife and a hit on a major vessel hard enough to cause a problem would leave you with bigger immediate issues than a blood clot (remember the player with the blood filled giant scrotum)........ a bruise is a bruise, doesn't really matter if you've got one or 15 you could end up with a bruise that needed treatment, but nothing life threatening............ think about it, all those ballers, all these years.............not a single "blood clot" emergency. It's surface damage, when other sportsman get them it's from internal bruising/injury........ we are more at risk from collision than paintballs.
If it is possible for paintballs to cause thrombocis then we should all be wearing full body protection.
Seriously, anyone got any evidence etc... on this? I can't find anything appropriate in any medical texts etc... paintball bruises are pretty specific...... not really been any research I can use.

hence why i asked if it was true or bul**** lol iam a cop not a paramedic lol but if 15 balls hit you in the top of the skull at a range of less than a metre, although the ball would simply burst on ure head, would there not be some sort of trauma through the energy passing on into ure skull ? bit like being shot with a bullet proof vest on, if the ballistic strength of the vest isnt perfect, although the bullet is caught in the vest, the trauma from the energy of the bullet passes through your body, bursting veins, organs etc etc :) could it be possible (on a smaller scale) that if 15 balls at 300 fps at a range where by the ball had lost little energy hits you in the soft spot of the skull ie the top could cause damage, i mean i got shot just above me temple a while back and i had to sit down for ages me head was ringing and i had a full on migrane afterwards :( that was from a fair range away too, i mean just coz it 8nt happened yet dunt mean it wont or cant ?! remember technology of guns is moving on rapidly yet technology of safety kit 8nt SCARY innit but what is most important is that the incident appears to be bull**** so thats a good thing in the respect that no one is hurt "well except somoenes hands"

:D

Unfortunately anywhere an amount of blood can coagulate and form a bruise, clotting will obviously take place. These clots are subject to rupture dependent on size. If a blood vessel has ruptured and a bruise or clot forms this is then at risk of breaking off and entering the blood supply causing a blockage of some sort. This could in turn prove fatal.

It would take a number of particularly nasty welts to be in very close proximity in order to form what would essentially be a giant bruise. If blood vessels were damaged and subsequent trauma to the already bruised area occured a clot could well enter the system.

You would have to be particularly unlucky for all of these factors to occur though.

Ne pas possible, The Storm North guys who do play the PA, play divs 2 & 3, not even in the same divisions as Sunderland. Allegation denied. As a fatty myself, laughing at portly people is like laughing at meself, no harm intended :D :D.
