At least Buddha has the decency not to become an "Al Bundy" and tell everyone at every opportunity how he scored 4 touch downs in a single game. Unlike those people who claim to mug the entire opposition without leaving their bunker.

Real Football

Much as I am loathe to, but I have to disagree with my old mate Budha here.
Real football is soccer, no argument !!!
It is the most universally accepted sport on planet earth next to humping.
The only reason the Yanks hadn't embraced it for so long was because they couldn’t win at it and so they invented synchronised swimming and got that put into the Olympics, so they could have another gold medal.
I can't think of another nation outside of the US where American Football is taken seriously, true there are a few American football teams dotted here and there throughout Europe but in general, it is not and never will be regarded as a serious sport.
Now I am not saying that you don't have to be fit and skilful to play this game but the same can be said for Australian Rules where once again, you have to be fit and skilful to play but in the scheme of things (internationally speaking) it is once again regarded as national idiosyncrasy.
Real football (Soccer) has the unique distinction of having more players than any other sport world wide, it produces more revenue than any other sport and more TV coverage is allotted to it worldwide.
There is however one small glitch to the world of football that is at the moment niggling me…….and that is the frikkin French are the current World champions and that is making me look toward the Washington Redskins for my next meal of sport from the TV…..can it really be that bad ?
If the frogs win again, u bet ya !!!!!!

Handball unfortunately has already been taken. What can I say? We like our game, particularly in the southeast where I come from, where it's really played better than anywhere else in the country and people live and breathe it every day. In fact, in Alabama where I live specifically, the rivalry between the two large universities is so intense that literally everyone in the state from birth pretty much is made either an Auburn or Alabama fan and follows that game alone from as early as they're able to understand the game till the day they die. It's known as the Iron Bowl, and it is recognized by anyone in sports to be the most anticipated and talked about game in the sport of the year, even more than the Super Bowl. Feasts and keg parties abound everywhere, millions of dollars are bet, motor homes in the tens of thousands are parked around the stadium as early as a month in advance, year round friends either linked or divided for the days before, during, and after, and even conversation at church (heck, even the sermon!) completely dominated by who won, who scored and should or shouldn't have, etc.

You MUST witness it in person at least once in your lifetime.

Whoa there!
It wasn't me that said YankeeDoodleBall is real football. True, I enjoy the game, but for the life of me I can't figure out why it's called football. Very little foot to ball contact (if you can even call it a ball). It should just be called 'Yet another excuse to have a punch up'.
Hey Killer, what you say is true, but only in Alabama......:D

I got involved in the sport because I was looking for a team sport to go and do, but I ain't exactly built for most sports. So after much looking around, a pub buddy of mine invited me to come and see the team he played on practice. So I went over, and I saw a bunch of people knocking each other over. 'This', I told myself, 'I can do!'
And the rest, as they say, is history......
