Can't really speak from personal experience never fancied a apex barrel, the people who I know who have used it have recommended it.

If you ask me you can't get better than the hammerhead but the price to performance drops off, depends on budget then.

If you want a second hand barrel for 20-25 it takes patience. Apex 2's are about 40 new.
