BSG fans?

The new BSG should be put to sleep quickly....it ruined a classic series....

I used to be the biggest sci-fi geek until this show spoilt it all for me. I cant watch sci-fi TV now for one simple reason...
BSG took it to the next level. There is nothing that even comes close to matching it! The cheap and tacky plots and stories on SG1 or the cardboard characters of pretty much any other sci-fi production currently active just cannot compare. Theres only been one other show that was on par and that was Firefly until Fox in their greater wisdom cancelled it. Just a shame Battlestar is coming to a close at the end of this season.
Did anyone happen to catch space channels season preview? I believe its doing the rounds on youtube but it shows a few minor details of what we have in store and one point in the season is an absolute nut buster oh and with regard to earth....

i have all the new series on dvd plus the orginal and even worse the bsg1980 sequel with no apollo or starbuck but lorne greene what a legend!!!

just downloaded the first episode of season 4...cant wait to watch it.
BGS is without a doubt the best thing on tv for ages.
oh and when season 4 is over the spin off caprica is due to start not long after

Yeah its still just a two hour pilot at the moment though isnt it? Last I heard anyhow. Plus the story sounds awful. It sounds more like 'lost in space meets the Jetsons' than the gritty, wartorn settings of BSG. Although BSG is very character driven the war adds a suspense and an action element which compliments the settings and the universe, without it, you're pretty much left with what we have now, minus the fact they get about in spaceships. Until they get to the good stuff like the political rebellion on sagitaron (refer Zarek graphic novel) and the initial stages of the first cylon war it just sounds too 'every day'.
I wont lie, I dont like the look of Caprica, but then again who am I to judge before its been shown?
