Yay hotpoint Ireland did well this year in the World cup cheated out of the next round by some (unfortunatly) p1ss poor penalties and I know Spains weren't much better. South Korea deserve a pat on the back for beating the Ities to the Golden Goal. A year of upsets this one. Who do we support between the USA or Germany? difficult that one isn't it?

Why is it you guys do that ****, I mean, we always (generally speaking) support Scotland against opposition from outside of the UK, as we do for the Welsh and the N.Irish but when the situation is reversed, you guys all don the hats of England's opponents and cheer them on, what's up with that ?

Having a scottish mother & having lived in NIreland for 13 years (which has a very similar 'culture' to parts of Scotland...) I believe it's a question of 'what foot you kick with' (not literally!) A certain group of Scots who support the 'Gers, Hearts and Linfield & wear red white & blue will probably be cheering England on on Friday, whereas another group who support Celtic, Hibs & Cliftonville and wear green white & gold will be behind Brazil. Of course this is being stereotypical and there will always be an exception to the rule so no offence intended to either 'group' (careful choice of wording so as not to appear sectarian, which i'm not. To close with a quote from a bodyshop ad from a few years back " Our true Nationality is Mankind" (and i'm not talking about the WWF wrestler (or whatever they changed their name to..)
England will win i reckon. Who have brazil played really? Belgium were the best team they have played, They have a **** defence, no sense of team spirit. They have one or two very talented players up front and that's it.

Here's something spooky!
I'm not really a great believer in deja-vu or spooky things but heres a weird co-incidence....Last Saturday whilst still away from all things electrical (like TV's) in rainy Norfolk, one of the guys i was with said something about the England score. I havent been following the WC closely but i knew England were playing on Sat. Thinking that he wanted to know the score I said "It was 3-0 to England" (because i thought i must have heard it somewhere) He was a bit puzzled and said "funny that, it doesnt kick off for another half hour"! However, i was convinced it was 3-0. I mean really certain. He now thinks i'm a witch! OK guys i'm getting 2-1 to England for Fridays match, 1-0 for the semi & i'm sure (against all odds) that England are going to win the WC! Now if only i could predict those lottery numbers!

when you can't do well yourself you have to put down the neighbours because they're doing what you're not. I'm sure you can think of a recent parallel to do with paintball to keep this on topic ...
I think it's funny 'cause the scots go on about this big rivalry and how we hate each other. I don't think England fans give a monkeys, bit of pride about beating the old enemy and all that but nowhere near what the scots seem to feel.
It's a shame really cause now the tight fisted buggers
have to get rid of their newly aquired Denmark shirts and buy Brazil ones.....I wonder if the sports shops do trade in's
