Hi guys, i play the midland masters and soon they will be enforcing the 15bps rule with technology. The marker i use cannot be cappped at 15bps with out buying a new board. I'm currently running a pm5 with a z boarded egg and as we all know the hopper dictates what the marker can max out at.

so the question is will the z board run at 15bps or less or do i need to go back to old board?

Erm, it's not the hopper that dictates what you can 'max out' at, it's your marker. I would have thought there would be a semi cap mode in your marker settings bud which you will need to set to 15.

An egg (and it's an age old debate) with a Z board is around 16-19bps depending on what you read and who you believe.

Basically, never believe what the manufacturer tells you.

The EGG Z is advertised at giving 19bps.
in reality it only just keeps up with my ego when it is in 15bps ramp mode. This i have heard time and time before from many other people.

ALSO not all markers have a capping capability. only the latest techno gat's have it. As it was only really discussed/decided on properly within the last 2 years. or made publicly accessible anyway.

Dan you should be safe just running with the egg.
I'm sure the angel's with give more than enough notice if they believe otherwise.

NO! so in some instances a hopper can actually dictate your rate of fire.;)
Yes but in this instance it will not be the hopper that dictates it as the egg will do these speeds, which is what he was asking about. You know what I meant and were being argumentative.

read both of my post's:rolleyes:

EDIT:

I even found warpig's on gun feed rate test's just to substantiate my "argument".

this all caame about yesterday when traing. I was out shooting the hopper as there were gaps the the string of paint i was putting out. Now i'm going to be honest here, the marker is ucapped and max's out at 24-25 bps, I know i peak at say 18-19 bps a second according to the rof display on an e2'd marker i use with a halo v35, but average at around 15-16 bps over a long string. so the hopper is restricting my rof otherwise there would be no gaps! if you read the manual for the z board and it says it does 19 bps and you take this as gospel it means i was shooting at something like 20-21bps which i know i cannot do!

If your marker has eyes, the hopper WILL control your rate of fire.

BUT, and there always is a but. If you turn the eyes off, due to a break or just for the hell of it, then the hopper has no control at all.

Getting back to the 15bps cap rule, the z board will probably just exceed it, but not by much. I doubt it would be a good control method as a marshall will just laugh at you, if you say it's capped by my hopper.
You must restrict the marker, rather than rely on the hopper.
