That thread makes me want to get sociological on your asses. In short, gender and masculinity/femininity are socially constructed and don't exist anyway, we just perform the roles. Some (Butler, 1999) argue that behind all concious outward performances of gender lies the opposite in repression (ie hyper-masculine "real" men are probably at home wearing women's clothes or jerking off to pictures of their dad). So, we're all gay because there is no such thing as straight.

Now vote for me, I have essays to write.
You want to do what with our asses?
You get a capital 'G' from me.

Or is your sociological viewpoint just one that a western world has bestowed upon you, some might argue, such as those looking from a symbolic interactionist approach, such as Mead, that your views themselves have been modified by your social interactons with these pink gat using 'gays' :)

Ok so I have butchered his theory to my needs but hey ho

I take a functionalist view that people who shoot pink gats are necessary so I can feel better about myself with my black gat by calling them gay and affirming my masculinity, which doesn't even exist in the first place. :p

For the record, I think pink ladies look badass.

I understand about the gender roles of males and females, but I have to disagree with your last statement!

There is quite obviously such a thing as straight as it is the only way the human race can continue? It's inbuilt.

I don't quite know what I'm taking about but that statement just doesnt make sense to me!
