Is there any way to check if the bottle is in test if there isn't a stamp on it? I have assurances that my air bottle is in test but there isn't a stamp on it and I can't get any certification or anything. :(

I don't think it's legal to not put a date stamp on a compressed air tank, look harder. It'll look something like this:

03 C 02

Where 03 is the month, the 'C' is a logo that looks like a C with an L inside of it, and 02 is the year. That's how my Angel AIR, and both my PMI tanks read.

Should be about midway down, right in the middle of the bottle. It should say it's pressure rating, serial number, and have some DOT and/or HSE information. For example mine reads exactly like this:

HSE-AL-FW2 03 C 01
Serial number Filling Pressure Test Pressure
151-57417 300 bar PH 466 bar
Water Capacity: L1.1 Alum. Alloy: AA6061
Empty Weight: 0.9KG Thread: .625-18UNF
Design Life: 15 Years Made: USA

DOT-E11194 4500 PSI REE 15.4cc
6151-57417 M4927 03 C 01

Warning: Don't blow yourself up

It seems to be out of test then, but the person I bought it off said he gave it to H-pack at the end of a tourny and was given it back at the start of the next one tested. He doesn't have a test ticket or anything.

I have heard a rumour that the life on bottles between tests has now been extended. Not sure how much truth there is to that though. I was probabily very drunk at the time
