so if my steely is in for its first test how often after this do i have to get it done or is it just easier to buy a new one every five years

With a steel bottle available at about £40 then it is just as viable to buy new every 5 years, but if you can hand it to HPAC at an event and collect it later at another event rather then pay postage then it becomes cheaper as you then only pay the test fee.

Either way £ for £ steel cylinders become a better investment then fibre wrapped accross their lifetimes.

A steel cylinder that is currently in test should be on a 5 year sequence and will last forever while it continues to pass. But if anything is tested quoting a 3 year sequence then you have to retest or cease use at the 3 year point.

We use a company called CTS who are based in Liverpool - 0151 448 0555. The only drawback with these guys are that they don't offer an option to send back so we have to get a courier to collect which can be expensive.
