A friend bought me a pair of Pony's back from the US, I think they are American Football boots, but with the conversion rate etc they came in at £15, good rubber studs on them and dead comfy, plus they are mids as well so ankle support is quite good.

Tanel 360s all the way...
Tanels are so Old skool, all the ex-woods ballers on my team swear by them. Plus they're bloody expensive

I admit I'm biased (See sig), but seriously, they rock. Ever walk UP a wet log? Or a mossy rock?
I assumed 'Bud' was asking about shoes for supair ball fields, but apparently some people still play in the woods, so for that i'd sugest a pair of hi-tech combat boots. Good ankle support, lightweight, and good traction.

I'm speaking strictly new skool here,
If you're playing Milleniums, then you need traction on grass that will be a bit slipery because of the paint. American Football boots are designed for such surfaces, as are rugby boots, and soccer cleats.
A lot of back players simply wear outdoor running shoes, as you don't need the traction standing at the back, and if you do run the surface won't give you any problems.
A lot of players wear the Dye shoes, but i think they're over priced, and you can buy outdoor running shoes with the same tread styles, and support for a lot less.

Bud, i hope this helps.

The Dye ATCs are really comfy but I prefer something with more ankle support.

I'm currently on my second pair of Mizuno baseball cleats - the ones with the rubber cleat pattern. I prefer these to football cleats because of the tread pattern. It's good for straight ahead running as well as twisting and turning. You can find them right here

And they're good for both woods and supair fields.
