Yeah Planet have got Tanel boots and Dye ATC's in, I personally use American football cleats, all the grip of footy boots but without the pain after long periods of use i.e all day at a tourney.

Depends on the weather I suppose, but I fond my cleats suitable for virtually all field conditions, even astroturf.

I'm going to pick myself a pair a dandy ones when I go to Canada Skiing at the weekend, from what I remeber last year they sell nike/addidas ones for about £30!!

If you know of someone going to America or Canada then I would recommend getting them to pick you up a pair if you can sort out the size....

Mine were £15 for my pony mids.... or I think it was £25 for the Nikes... about 50% cheaper than on firstandten.co.uk

Quick tip for cleats

Here's an oldie, but a goodie. If oyu wear cleats, one hting that will happen to you at one point or another is that you will cake the cleats in mud, rendering htem useless. Here's how you fight that.

BEFORE YOU PLAY : Take some non-stick cooking spray (In the states, we hace this stuff called "Pam") and spray the bottom of your shoes liberally. If it's dripping, it's just about enough. Let it dry, ideally, overnight.

What you've just done is make a non-stick coating on the bottom of your shoes. With a good kick to a tree or the ground, mud falls off. You may need to spray the shoes about mid-day as well to keep them going. But, ideally, you want to start with CLEAN SOLES. Meaning no mud.

I did this for years with a lot of success. Oh sure, laugh. But I'm getting grip. But this year I swapped to the Bites, no regrets. I swear they shaved tree-frog feet to get that sticky stuff on there....

i use timberland gore tex lined fell running boots from their mountain athletic range, you can pick em up cheap at outlet type stores cos they aint that popular (especially the real bright coloured ones) well grippy and supportive and of course the gore tex lining. their pro boots are ok too.

And no i aint sponsored, my faves have to be the original tanel 360s lasted for years till the sols wore out
