Wasn't a thread just started a couple weeks ago asking which barrel was better, boomer or freak?

Anywho,
Everybody's got an opinion, I like both barrels, but it depends on your situation. If you consistently use the same brand and type of paint, then get a boomstick with appropriate bore size. If you like to use lots of different paint, with lots of different bores, or you just like to make sure you get a good match up, the freak is great. But like I said, everybody's got an opinon, this is an age old debate that will never end. Your best bet would be to try both and see which one suits your marker best.

I've shot Boomsticks and Ultralites with good results. The freak is great for what it is, but there are a few good kits that in my opinion accomplish the same objective but do it a little better in my opinion. The Powerlye Scepter, CP Pro, and Equation Bizerk pro all accomplish the Freak's bore matching ability but without the vulnerabilty of the Freak's thin inserts which have a few annoying impairments. (The Scepter and Bizerk barrels have thicker, stronger inserts which don't spin or dent; the CP pro goes with solid backs.) I myself own an Ultralite and a Scepter kit and love both of them.

I've also been inclined to shoot Lapco from time to time...half the price of a Boomer, all of the looks, and the accuracy is the most amazing experience you can have with your clothes on.

well,

dont listen to the gadge above me, he is only tellin you that cos he has only ever used the Freak system, i use both just now, and granted the Freak is obviousley more flexible as towards paint size, try a nice .690 boomie mate, accurate as hell and i have had about three bursts in 4 cases of paint, the boomie shoots through a burst and cleans itself nicely, i found that once i had a burst in the freak i am stuffed!
chunk, get that Boomie you were after pal, maybe you can bonus ball me at training too one day my mucker!;)
