You want the crowd to notice you for the wrong reasons mate. if I wanted 5000 spectators to think I was a tosser there are better ways of acheiving it than shooting up some poor sod who would be penalised for defending himself. If some skinny little white boy was shooting me off the field I would slap him upside his head. This is exactly the type of thing that is stopping new players from reaching the top levels of the sport. Large percentages are being put off by idiots like Tommeh. Thats a fact.
Tommeh, I realise you are not going to have the brains or the balls to debate your twattiness with me in Fight Club, but take a long hard look at yourself anyway, and kick yourself into shape beofre someone else does.

Aight, I'm gonna split the difference 'cus I think Missy is more or less correct about the potential impact of bonus ballin' at non-national level events. I'm even in favor of strictly penalizing it at lower than Pro level competition but only in conjunction with penalizing players leaving the field who aren't correctly signalling they are out.
Players get, imo, legitimately "overshot" on occasion simply because it isn't always clear whether an opponent is eliminated or not and some teams and players purposefully attempt to distract active guns in the way they leave or fail to leave the field.
I would even potentially penalize bonus balling at the Pro level but only for the most egregious, obvious abuses. Otherwise I think a bit of love is a part of the Pro game where you play the same teams over and over.

IF Bonus balling was allowed....

1:- Some Idiot is always going to take the piss by slapping 30 or so shots
into the back of every player who walks off the field from the opposing team...

2:- The Vast majority of players who do it for FUN and SPORTSMANSHIP wont bonus ball people intentionally even if it were allowed..

3:- To the crowd, if your bonus balling everyone intentionally, your just going to look like an utter tosser, where as the occasional accident normally perks their interest.

4:- The fights you say people "Enjoy" in ice hockey, rugby ect.. Your forgetting, there established sports.. every tom dick and harry off the streets understands the basics and knows there will be fights, and hence likes to see some now and then..
Paintball isnt so fortunate, its a barely recognised sport where any physical exchanges are bad due to "joe publics" oppinion is "Rambo Wannabee's with guns" and when we start knocking lumps outa each other is just gonna earn us an even worse image in the un-educated eye!!!

Also, to add to point 4, i do it for the fun, Having some twat ram 30 shots up my back perhaps 5 or 6 times a day (if it was allowed) prompting me to take a swing at them isnt my idea of Fun!!!

So theres only so long im gonna accept having my spine Repeatedly raped by some teenager with too much testosterone flowing in his veins who thinks Bonus Balling me on 3 or 4 occasions is "Cool" and "Gangsta" before i see red, and in a moment of rage fuelled petty revenge,i Run over to him and break his face to a bloody Mushy Pulp and part him from the majority of his teeth with the bussiness end of my rather heavy 1.1 L Air Bottle....
