heheheh,if it aint broke,i dont touch it. Trust me,i am NOT a tinkerer! Once its dialed in,it gets left,i want it to work man!
Traded my Evo for the Protege. Got the Protege out the box, gassed it up and
SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.
It's broke,i gotta fix it.
Leaking air, although operating, leak is from above the grip frame and slightly forward. Had to strip it to relube everything with '55 as per advice given,to swell the O rings and make a positive seal. Just plain didnt work. Checked the LPR pressure which was just over 70 PSI. Still leaking.
Had to have it apart again to try and locate the leak, almost certain it is coming from the hose that goes onto the bottom brass barb, the hose looked slightly pinched on the edge of the noid housing and it looks creased and opaque in places. When i stripped it down the last time i disconnected the main loom from the mother board and one of the wires broke. Murders.
Dodgey American engineering, and my fumble fingers.
Havent had the LP hose off the barb yet as waitng for some new LP hose,im going to change all the hose as per instructions on the IOG guide, once i've done that then the only thing left is the noid.
The previous owner is a very sound guy and has agreed to assist should i need to replace the noid, they're pretty expensive so want to try and eliminate every other possibility before we go down that route.
Bit trial and error but i'm game, and with the amount of technical support for BL markers in the UK,it looks like a case of "physician heal thy self". Better learn fast.
