Last good configuration just brings back to bsod.

And yes it's XP home edition. I'll try find the installation cd

Thank god i had just saved game on FF7

Explaining stuff over the internet/phone is always difficult.
At least I am not charging for my advice or nicking computer parts like the guy on house of horrors lol.

least they did a couple of grands worth of damage to his shinny beamer

i might have an xp cd - im not entirely sure though - if that would work if you cant find yours sean and if i can find mine you can borrow that

haha sorry to hear about it, i had 5 of them in the space of 3 weeks just gave it to the IT techs and they sorted it.

Very annoying though.

make sure its home edition if u lend him the disk.

One piece of advice I will give for all pc users, if you download pron, sorry i mean psx emulators, make sure its from a reliable source

Make sure you choose the right option, unless you dont mind wiping your system.

How do i actually run the cd from boot? I have put it in the drive and powered on but nothing happens except go to the bsod

go into the bios (either f2 or del on boot, check the bottom of the screen)
find the setting for boot order and change it to cdrom drive first.
