But a gauge will give a clue of your pressure... turn the reg down air her up and turn back up... If you blow it then, well, nicely done. :rolleyes:

Sorry :D It's what mike said. If the pressure behind it goes over 220psi (that's how SP set theirs, anyway) then it vents excess pressure to protect the solenoid etc. Also a handy warning signal - when your gun starts going PSHHHHHHHHH you know something's wrong ;)

Sticking my oar in here....

You didnt know what a PRV was but still felt that you could somehow justify your answer and EVEN rolleyes at Rabies for his fair comment.

With all the bad publicity SP already get in Europe; they should pay you not to shoot the Shocker or Ion.

the 03 shockers don't have a prv, but the standard maxflow reg that come with them has an o ring that blows out before the solonoid is damaged, or so i was told by smart parts,but if you change your reg then you need to fit a prv somewhere to play it safe.
