how can i tell if if fooked the sol- there seems to be air leaking out of it at the top going into the marker - and if i tighten the screw nothing happens - i reckon i sent too much pressure through the reg into it from a hp tank - if so anyone know a good shocker tech -

cheers

You can tell if the solenoid is ****ed by turning it on. Turn it on and pull the trigger, if it clicks it's fine, if not, it's ****ed.
The only SP tech I know of it Oli from Halloween. Get in touch with him, he'll sort you out.

Ahh I should have read it all through, I only read the opening line :p

Make sure all the threads are in good condition. Might have fannied the threads or something. If all else fails kick the damn thing. Been having problems with my Shocker too... Felt like kicking the thing many times. :D

If the problem arose due to putting too much air pressure into the gun then it probably isnt a stripped thread problem.

We can repair solenoids that have failed due to wear, but not ones that have been damaged due to too much pressure.

That is why most sensible manufacturers have an over pressure valve on the air circuit that goes to the solenoid.

Invest in a guage for your Shocker. Don't have a clue why SP didn't do it. I have noticed that some of the newer ones come with guages as standard.

Cos a gauge won't stop your solenoid from getting popped. A PRV (as all shockers come fitted with) will, but everyone probably takes the PRV off so they have somewhere to screw in the bling gauge
