just wondering if anyone can shed a bit of light on this plz,
i've ordered a timmy from the states, it's at customs at the mo
and they are asking for a velocity declaration ???????????????
before they will release it.
just wondering if any one has any info.

Thye want to know if its velocity is more than 300 something feet persecond which would mean its a firearm.....its under 300 feet per second, under 12Foot pounds of Muzzle Energy...

It complies with the guildelines set out for classification as an Airggun really, so its legal in the UK, and doesnt require a Firearms certificate...Oh an no way is it capable of anything other than Semi Automatic....!!!

would the velocity declaration for a airsoft gun be ok to use ?

not sure what this declaration is..is it a document?
Airsoft are classified as toys because they produce 1 Joule or less i believe, not airguns

i think it's info about the marker stating it's velocity and pressures,etc. i think ,not to sure.
cant find anything on the net about it with regards to a marker.

just te'' 'em it is capable of 280 fps, less than 12 foot pounds, and if they want further clarification, it is classded as an air rifle

point them at the UKPSF site and also ring whoever sent you the timmy for urgent help. And keep talking to customs because if you do not they will impound and destroy

Goto the site you bought it from, print out the page and fax it...cover the price though. Write on the paper 290fps less than 11lb
