Just had word from the venue - the playing surface is definately astro turf.

hmmm artificial turf or artificial grass is very good now people are using in the residential area too and as u know very well commercially is already using since very long im also using it in my lawn and beside the swimming pool it quite cheap for me no need to for further maintenance........
