we flew into luxemburg last year and had no problems with the markers, we also used a taxi to get back to the airport. think it cost about 50 euros or so
I will be flying into Luxembourg for Bitburg, did your American mates make it through eventually or did they have to send their markers via another route??
Mr G, this was on way out of Luxembourg, they had bags inspected at check in and were told that paintball was illegal in the country and they were not welcome back. Was a couple of years back but they were close to having all their gear impounded.
tell them at the check in at luxembourg you are carrying paintball equipment and they will be fine with it. This happened to my team mate last year. He went on an earlier flight and was pulled, so we declared it and we had no problems. PGi helped a lot when we showed it to the lady.
Ryan Air has their main airport (hub) in Frankfurt Hahn which is 80 km away from Bitburg. But Ryanair makes big trouble with paintball guns.
Luxemburg airport is 60km and it's easier to find.
But I would suggest to get a rental car for sure. It's way to expensive to get a cab.
ive never had problems with ryanair and muy gats and they have been back and forth to ireland with me. just make them aware when u book and then check in
