Now I'm not sure how reliable the Guardian is as a news source (Is it the Mirror or the Guardian that's the rag over there?), but umm... I'm disturbed by this bit of news. I'd expect this of "The Onion"...

If it's true, isn't there some kind of Geneva rule against using Barney to interrogate prisoners?

Its true. If i remember the News report Metallica and Slipknot are also being used.

I think the term used was "radical culture shock" which un-nerves the person being interrogated enough to make the whole thing easier from the point of view of the people asking the questions.
