Just get a new battery connector that comes with the wires attached (www.maplin.co.uk do them).

Then it is simply a case of soldering the wires on where the olds ones have been removed.

got the shizzle, do i just pull the old one off, and put the new one on top of the old solder, and solder it on to the top of the old one, or do i have to remove the previous solder?

I guess you haven't soldered before. In that case - heat up the 'old' solder and gently remove the old lead from the board (do not leave the soldering iron on there too long - just long enough to remove the old wires).

Now, do the same in reverse to add the new one (it would help greatly if you could add a little solder).

This is not the recommended method - the professional way would be to remove the old solder completely and re-do with fresh.

Do not just pull the old wires off - as this will leave bits of wire sticking out - and cause you real problems with short circuits etc.

If you are not confident doing this - find someone who is. It is all too easy to screw up your board due to over-heating etc.
