I'm so psyched, and I'm not even playing. I'm gonna have to get stuck in marshalling the missions when they pop up :D Ain't nothing better than being in the middle of a big charge and getting pummelled from both sides :p:D

Answering a few questions.

Ramping is allowed there is no ROF cap. Your paints not going to last long though shooting 20bps though! So we recommend setting your markers at 10/12 bps.

We do have a huge playing area this year but we also have more players than ever:D The mission objectives should ensure some good intense fire fights for those who want that and expect some surprises throughout the game;)

Sorry dude, I managed to find enough materials to make my own, but if I had the cash I'd definately go with yours, as they look quite sexy. Any other marshalls out there should definately consider getting a shield, as they do come in handy when you're marshalling the busy places (which are the best places to be anyway, and in the most need of good reffing).

Lets see what happens.
Cheers,
Paul.

CONSCRIPT ORDERS

http://laurenstephens.net/uploads/70403b0e9d.pdf

This, and your tickets, will leave us on on Tuesday and Wednesday. Everyone who has booked should have them by Friday.

The orders open out from A5 size (orders letter page, Game Basics page), to A4 (Game Missions page), then A3 for the map page. Its designed to be MUCH more player friendly than the booklets used in previous years.

We will use the ordnance survey reference numbers shown on the map - so some basic map reading/orienteering skills will be an advantage in getting around and identifying targets.

Other topics I would like to mention include:

Food: We have a selection of food trucks so you should have plenty of choice at good prices and hopefully few queues. You can of course barbecue at the campsite but NO open fires please folks.

Drink: We have an experienced festival events bar company who will have a full bar setup available, spirits, draught & bottles all available at good prices. You may bring booze for the campsite.

Party: The players party should be a blast - its inside Bunker 7 !, a cavernous underground space, very cold war! - and I reckon Im pretty safe in saying its never seen anything like a big game party
We will have several acts, with some squaddie style entertainment along the way ( so I heard ), the bar will be open throughout and its bar booze only at the party so dont bring any please - expect to pay regular bar prices you will not be ripped off with silly prices or crap beer.

Toilets: We have ample portaloos (over 30), we have several Latrine Blocks near the campsite (2 loos in each), we have a 4 loo toilet block in Bunker 6, and all portaloos are being emptied and re-serviced on Saturday night - so we SHOULD have it covered folks so long as everyone is at least reasonably fair!

Animals: There are many wild animals dodging about the site, there are buzzards (protected as you will remember from Firebase Alpha!), there are badgers! (yes the protected kind). But its MOD land, they army have to train, and so they get on with it as they are outside the reach of anyone who could complain I guess . But there is one type of animal on the camp which is protected - PEACOCKS!
Now please read this next bit carefully, the Camp Commandant LOVES his peacocks! the army LOVE these peacocks, they are camp mascots! I would ask everyone who uses this forum, as the guys who have most influence on new players, PLEASE spread the word.... DO NOT SHOOT THE PEACOCKS !!!!
Harming them is probaby a court martial or a criminal offence, and Ive been warned that anyone who does harm them in any way will regret it.

More info soon, enjoy the Orders !
