I know it isnt going to happen, but imagine how much extra cash sites would get if everyone decided not to take bookings through these types of marketing companies.
I marshall at a small rec site between bury and bolton (nr manchester). When buisness was low the site owner decided to take up an offer with the MOP (who had been asking him to start taking bookings for some time). He provides everyone at the site with all their kit hire and food and drinks throughout the whole day including their first 100 paintballs. Most of the punters are alright they book directly with the site and know the score on paint(and how much they will need, special offers, etc.). But there has been the odd weekend over the past few years where groups of people have come and not spent an extra penny on the site. With Ebay offering around 8 MOP tickets at just over a £1. Its a suprise the smaller sites can even stay open. When they have to risk putting days on, knowing that if some people dont buy paint, the whole day is at a loss.
