Knocking another business publicly is not in my nature, but when something happens that seriously affects your own business and I cant sort this issue out, i feel i must make others aware.

Ministry Of Paintball are an Australian Company selling passes to people on the street and via the web. They send business to sites, but take £10 for each player and the site provides free admission and also the first 100 Paintballs, OR SO THEY SAY.

Our company Escarmouche.com never signed up to this, but we accepted a group of lads who paid £10 per player to Ministry Of Paintball. We did not charge them admission fee and gave them 100 balls free. There were 16 in the group.

Then the guy presents me with a tiny piece of card saying VIP and he then asked for free food and soft drinks. This was an additional £49. He was assured we would provide this by a Ministry Of Paintball rep who sold him the VIP pass on the street.
The guy and his group were rather annoyed when no food and drink was forthcoming. So this company get £209 for absolutley nothing.

The owner of the company, David Ross has failed to call me back, despite emails and phone calls.
This is a sham folks and god knows how many people on the street have been mislaid. The prices on their website and what they tell customers and site owners is inconsistent and wrong.
Now that Paintball is being sold on the high street, who knows what impression is being left with people who are just discovering Paintball.
For me and my business, we will be having nothing more to do with
MINISTRY OF PAINTBALL.

That sucks, i hope the situation gets sorted out.

There is a company here in england that also sells tickets on the highstreet for paintball games a sites around the country, as far as i'm aware they don't do anything as bad as what these guys do, but i've had some issues with them in the past, and they are not hugely popular with a number of people in the UK.

These guys also employ mainly from down under, so maybe there is a link between the companies, or perhaps its a copycat thing?

DF and MOP are most definitely NOT connected. DF VIP ticket sellers only sell for DF sites, and MOP don't sell for DF.

The down under "connection" is probably co-incidental because Antipodeans and South Africans make lively, effective sales people who don't complain about standing out in the rain all day, unlike us Brits! lol

you should have pointed to the little asterisk next to the 'lunch included' bit. then look for the asterisk later on in the booklet that says 'not at all venues'.

sorry ;) get it all the time, but its easily sorted!

Didnt get the booklet. But why would sites offer free food and drink and not get paid?????????????????????????
Because the lunch probably costs about £2 per person, and if it attracts the MOP players to spend money at the site on paintballs its less profit than a 'normal' punter, but profit nonetheless

Yep, then you make sure the punter has the direct booking number for your site so they come to you direct next time they play
