no u dont need to unscrew barrel..... with a straight shot its quite ingeneous.
there is a thing u can press down at the top of the 'stick' in turn this extends either a hinge or spring that allows a rubber ring at the end to fold on the side so u can put the stick down the barrel, let go of the top and oull it out. the rubber ring will have gone back to normal position and it will pull the paintba out of your barrel
