I heard they had problems with markers getting filled with sand at huntington beach last year which was one of the reasons they used the synthetic turf this year.

i'd love to play on the beach, it wont hurt wen u dive but a hell of a lot of sand *shivers* sand... i hate sand, cool field though, but a bit difficult to run on i would predict!

You ALL should come down and play HEAVENS GATE ! The tourney is really really well run and a blast I think its the best run 2 dayer this side of Campaign !! Go on what have you got to lose there is NO D7s next month !!
Bournemouth is great this time of year and the LADEEZZ are about all over the place Although NOT on the beach its close ( ABOUT 4 MILES i THINK ) So come on down and have a blast last year a team ( I think ) called QCB won a brand new Angel !!

Dazdread. The Goldcoast Ocean Festival organisers have got back to me and we will be entering more detailed discussions in August - I will keep you all updated.

The festival includes all manner of outdoor/adrenaline sports inlcuding Surfing, Longboarding, Beach Football & Volleyball, Paddle Racing, Surf Boats, Surf skis, Aquathon, KiteSurfing, BMX Trials, Mountain Boarding, and Skateboarding.

There's also Live Music and a Trade village incorporating licensed bars & restaurants, adrenalin zones, demos, exhibitions, sampling, simulators and corporate hospitality.

Obviously, it would be great to get paintball on that list and expose our sport to all those surfers and the like. Keep your eye on these forums for an update later in the year.
