Bawtry on Sunday?

Don't get me wrong mate, bawtry is a fantastic site, we've been down several times and over past year and it's becoming our 2nd home! yes alot of the marshalls are young and not the best shall we say, but they usually have 2 great marshalls watching walk ons, and really, walk ons shouldn't need to be watched like babies, but the 2 marshalls they have on for us at walk ons usually (BigT and Keal) are good marshalls, they will follow up calls and will act properly, bawtry does have some other good marshalls, gav and such, these guys do try, think how big the game area's are, its going to be hard to watch a full field, the thing to watch out mostly is for cheaters, thats the only problem that should be expected from some walk on players!

you can't expect to get brilliant fantastic marshalls there, people like that want to play usually, and the owners a bit of a stingy bugger so it's only gonna be kids that work for them!

your best when there is to speak with BigT if you have any problems, he's always out to make the site and day better for everybody!

you can't expect the best all the time mate, a bad day, some things like this do happen, but bawtry isn't normally like that!

been to bawtry a couple of times, i must say the marshalls were spot on when we were there, in my opinion bawtry is by far the best site we have ever been to, couldnt fault them, awesome site.
you should probably e-mail Karl at bawtry expressing your concerns about the day that you played, or you should have spoke to Karl on the day as he normally plays the walk ons himself

Aye, it was a dissapointing day to be honest, i did'nt myself see that much wrong with the marshelling it was... lets say quite lax from them but.. i didnt see the incident with the mask so cant really comment, the only thing was there was too much bonus-balling, but its part and parcel of the day.

The site its-self is very well constructed and thought out, but with the weather being ****, and the lack of numbers just did'nt make for the best first impression of the site, it was totally lacking atmosphere, but i aint letting it put me off the place.

As for the owner he could have buried his head in the sand but he did at least come out and ask about the problems and tried to address them.

firstly im not the one that complained about ramping secondly it was BIG T that told US the marshalls had just done an induction course that morning and it was BIG T that said QUOTE the boss didnt give a toss about walk ons caus he made more money off the punters SECONDLY the mask incident did happen and the marshalls didnt react even though more than 2 players were screaming at the marshall and if qualified marshalls dont have a mask on when filling air bottles up EVEN though they are in an area with big signs saying masks to be worn HEY CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG but isnt that a health and safety issue im not slagging the site off far from it they have some good playing zones im worryed about the safety issue it only takes one accident for the anti paintballers to jump on the band wagon

well went to bawtry on sunday for there walk on and all i can say is VERY DISSAPOINTED the marshalls had no idea ( oh that will be because they were kids that had just done an induction course and were allowed to marshall unsupervised}

ok m8, im hoping ur the guy i think u r, firstly the 2 marsahlls that were out there were not new we were fully experienced marshalls and had 2 new staff which were following us around for the day to get to know the site better so firslty get ur facts right b4 u start sayin were new, secondly ive played at alot of other sites and the marshalls ive seen there r generally around 16/17, i play plenty of walkons myself so im experienced in the running of the walkons.
One of the things u complained about was that a player with a 98 custom was using ramping, jeez, u had a gun that cud do the same speed (if not fasta on semi) nd u kicked off about that, which made his day worse and resulted in him going home, the marshalls out there, big t and one of the site managers were out there talking to u about it, and then when we said anyone else caught ramping would b sat out for a game, in the next game wot do we see, u using another mode instead of semi!!!!! wot do u expect the rules apply to everyone but u!! i dont think, to be honest m8, i dont realli care if u come back agen, as u can c from the other posts above, the site is popular and weve got plenty of players so we aint realli fussed if u come back, and realli if u want us to enforce rules then jst go and break em in the next game, we dont want to come back!!

sorry bud BUT YOU got your facts wrong i didnt put any posts on the forum.this will be my first. i spoke to your manager before i left and thought it was sorted but YOU dont think it is. by the way it was the manager that said there was one trained marshal and three new lads not me. as for the site it is awsome. but some of your safty needs looking at ie. masks on the field i didnt see the game were the player played without a mask but then again nor did the marshals? and in the fill area when i asked you why you wernt wearing your mask in the fill area you said you were a profesionals and do it like that every week. i just think you have been lucky. as for rammping big t said semi fire only so if your so good and the lad with the 98 custom said it was on ramp all day why did you not pick up on it?????. sorry if you not happy with me but i dint put anything on the forum its not my way. cheers buzz
