i had 10 rotors up stairs last week, half had the velcro half didn't. not really an issue all work grand

I have had no issues with mine so far, but then again why did Dye start fitting the velcro straps if they are not necessary???

The Velcro straps have been added to the battery pack as a precaution, not as a necessity. There have been no common issues with the batteries coming dislodged during play. In further testing of the Rotor shell strength by throwing them around and dropping them from great heights, the only things affected eventually were the lid breaking off and the batteries coming dislodged. The Velcro straps help further to avoid the latter.
A few of our dealers have already requested spare straps which we will be sending to them over the next week.
If you are looking to get a strap then feel free to ask your favoured dealer very nicely
