if there is still no joy then the veiwloader website has good exploded veiws of parts and guides ect. you can even order parts straight from the diagram table thingy. i would post a link but being crap with computer i dont know how!:(
anyhow go to www.veiwloader.com
select products from the bar on left
then select eclectronic loaders
then use the slide down menu and select your eggy 2
in bloo at the top there will be the optoins n stuff to do with the eggy 2.

First..

Take it apart and check the wiring/connectors. Make sure you haven't crushed a wire between the shell halves!
You can test the motor, disconnect the plug from the board and wire the motor up to one of the nine volts direct, it will spin, either way.
Connects around the wrong way.....it will not be the motor one, possibly the eye one.
check you haven't bent the eyes out of alignment, if they cannot detect a beam it will be the same signal as a ball in the way!
If all else fails, take a team mates one apart and try swaping parts around, until you find the bit at fault.
