Hey dudes, i just bought a cocker, and i need to buy a barrel kit, so i don't look a tit on the field with balls rolling out of the end if my barrel all the time, due to the fact that i am too lazy to buy my own paint, so instead i use the site paint which is rather small bore (Draxxus Midnight). Thing is, i don't know what barrel kit i'm best to buy, i've narrowed it down to two, but i don't really wanna spend half the price of my cocker on a barrel kit. I've Narrowed it down to :

Empire 7 Piece Barrel Kit

Aluminium Freak kit

Cheers Guys,
Chris

I hear a lot of bad things about the inserts, people saying they're cheap and dent really easily. and how is the insert held in place in the barrel back?

ive had my aluminium inserts for nearly 3 years now and they havent dented once, if u take care of em they'll be fine. Once the front and back of the freak are screwed together push the insert in through the back, of the back section. It cant go too far in cos hte front end stops it and once the barrel is on ur gun that will stop it coming out the other end.
it is completly (sp?) up to you though, if ur worried bout the inserts a kit like the empire where the backs are more solid. you can buy stainless inserts for the freak which are more durable i think, but if u look after the inserts they should be fine

yeah i do want to save money, but i don't knowwhat would be the best - performace wise. i don't know what one to buy, i would buy the 4 piece, but i need a .684 - .686 bore for Draxxus midnight, oh hell, i'll just buy other paint. lol. but i have seen the freak, nice looking barrel, and they seem to shoot well too, but i have never seen the empire, and the price makes me feel a little weary about getting it

hmmm, but i always thought that the reason why cockers were so accurate is that everyone pays more attention to the bore/barrel match so nothing rolls out the end of the barrel, and also if the ball keeps rolling out the barrel when you point it down, to shoot don't you have to fire one shot and then another to shoot some paint?
