Ok , many of you have bought equipment from me and I have bought a lot of stuff from other people. On the whole has been ok. I bought an 03 Shocker from Setb, which eventually arrived today. Apparently it was ok when it left, but due to bad packing of a freak back it arrived scratched and scrapped. I PM'd Setney within 5 minutes of signing for the package from the courier.

Setney's response is "See damage but that wasnt there when I shippend it to you
like I said the was new the only thing I can think about is that the
freakback has don this.
But there is nothing I can do about it any more sorry....."

Pics of damage below.

Guess I will have to take the loss, but just a warning to everyone.

Ian, surely the marker and freak back were not packed in a way that they could come in contact with each other. That's just daft.

that really is not on, you should at least offer some cash back for your bad packaging causing the damage, if u said it was in good nick one expects it to be in good nick when it arrives, it doesnt matter if it wasnt like that when you sent it, you packed the barrel badly. Hope it gets sorted out Ian :(

Thats a bit pants. Have bought and sold to loadsof people on the boards, and have never had any problems :) and have dealt with most of the board regulars, and loads of just posters looking to get decent 2nd hand kit...

The attitude of this guy is a bit erm... off to say the least... thanks for the heads up Ian, never bought off the fella, but with an attitude like that I don't think I ever will :)

Hope you get it sorted mate, last thing we need is bad traders on here when the majority are so good :)

Was insured but was also incorrectly packed. The box arrived in good order.

If you place a dozen crystal glasses in a box and don't protect each glass with padding etc how can you blame the delivery company if you end up with a box of bits.

Cheers Dave, by the way have a 11 piece black Empire barrel kit in cocker threads you or your team mates might like. Boxed, just waiting for a replacement 0.687 back piece. (Had 2 .681s)

Makes no difference.......

Although, setb will have to make the claim as he was the sender.

Just get him to call them. Did it come Royal Mail Post or some sort of parcel delivery company (which one).

As a company, we use City Link for all our UK delieveries.... Each one of our consignments is covered for £2000 of ACCIDENTAL damage, etc, etc.......

If they get shirty on him, make sure you keep the packaging and give it a good kick around the garden for a while:D That should do the trick.

Do you really think they'll remember whether your parcel was damaged on arrival or not:confused: I seriously doubt it.
