Thanks for the advice guys, any more would be much appreciated regarding bottle makes and hoppers etc, any info is very much needed.

Also my girlfriend hates anything to do with violence and excercise for that matter so any advice on getting her to give paintballing ago would be great tom, work your magic haha

... And if your girlfriend would like further advice and discussing whether paintballs for her then feel free to put her in touch

Always glad to help!
Also weight really isn't a big issue so I guess il start with a 3000psi steel and just check out what shapes are for offer.

If you can afford it, buy a new bottle. One of the super lights. If not, buy carefully from our classifieds. If you're going with a mechanical marker, you won't need the latest fastest super loader, a cheap agitating loader will be more than sufficient but you can pick up good loaders for very humble money. Empire prophecy, dye rotors, even halo/reloaders. 1.1 is the usual bottle size, if you have t-Rex arms buy smaller, if you're built like an orangutan buy a bigger 1.5.

Fair enough, seen quite a few loaders for sale in the classifieds recently, I'm right thinking the fittings are universal throughout all markers? Apart from the markers that state otherwise.
And no problem, I'm sure I saw a paintball shop around Manchester the other week so il pop in and see about their bottles as I believe they do have a "use by date" so to say regarding testing?

Fitting wise all 'feedneck' hoppers are the same
(The difference would be the a5/x7 etc with cyclones)

There is little point in anything less than a force fed hopper, dustys given a good list of options

For cylinder life:
An aluminium could last forever if you keep getting it tested, but for the cost of a test you could buy a new one. It will be marked for 5 years from born date to testing, there is a 10 year allowance for aluminium but not all sites will accept it

A fibre has a maximum 15 year life, with 5 years between tests

Factory Paintball are in Stockport, just off the m60.

Best ring @Ronniepimpstar before you set off to get the times he is open right.

You can get reactive triggers for things like the Tippmann 98, thats a mech gun and will surprise a few people haha

Other one is to find local walk-on days and travel a bit further.

You do have a few big games coming soon as well.

hi jay first off I would buy a good set of goggles then a hopper then a air tank then a gun old school none electo are fun but you are very limited to uping you game if your site don't like elrctro find another site . guns are expensive get the right gun for you. every player will tell you x gun or y gun is the best go to a site with own gunner most will show you there gun and you will get a feel of whats out there. I am old school none of my guns are under 10years old I have cockes mags eblade angel I like them all but I got my son a mini for £100 second hand and yes its fast never goes wrong but too small for me.best thing to say is if you can not see because your goggles are steamed up you can not hit anything your gun can shoot 10 bps if your hopper only feeds 2 you shoot 2 bps if you guns suck up liquid co2 and is down you are shooting 0bps

Thanks guys, will have to have a drive to paintball factory when I get back, currently down south for the week, already have a mask or 2 but looking at another as bad as it sounds haha.
I'm hoping to get a hopper and tank at the same time as a marker, will only be back shooting anyways in the next few weeks so won't have a chance to use anything till then anyways.
New job requires a week away training again then will be back with 3 weekends a month off as if worked the past 11 month only having Sunday's off.

Time to get back into the sport.

Dont forget the tippmann crossover so you get the best of both worlds

http://www.arsenalpaintball.co.uk/PBSCProduct.asp?ItmID=12264294

Find a second hand empire b2 or halo for about £30 and a new steelie tank for £40 and your done. maybe a better barrel later or as long as its A5 threaded.

Also the upgraded XVR model

You could always ask a shop to do you a package deal and see if you can save a few more pounds there :)
