Ahhh, you poor little boys! When I took up this sport we all love so much, my father got ratty 'cause he was too ill by then to come & play with me. He thought it was a marvellous hobby for a woman of nearly 30 to do.
Then again, he's the one who encouraged me to get my first motorcycle years before, & used to discuss rugby & cricket with me so he wasn't exactly typical in how he treated his daughters :D

Age

:D I don't kow about everyone else, but I'm 33. I have played for 14 years and still feel like a young one, still to this day. I think age has an advantage. Experience!!! you can't beat that. Even with little creaks and aches I love to play and will love to play until I cant can't play with my walker anymore. To all the young people out there just because we are older we can still keep up with you. We are just one step ahead. Cheers

Erm, well, USED to ride a motorbike. Had a rather nasty coming together with a Datsun Cherry in central London many years ago & could never quite get my enthusiasm back. And I'm not being wimpish here - ask Sparklie about the scars I still have on my leg some day. It explains why I've always had to play back though, as I can't run too far or fast or my leg decides it won't work, & it sometimes just packs in for no apparent reason.
Bikes may be gone now, but the new Impreza WRX Turbo is still fun!:D :D :D

Sweet spot

Well...reading up on all these replies, looks like I may have been blessed to be in the 'sweet spot' of all ages here.

I am 26 myself and like many of you posted here, went through the 'What have I achieved in my life?' questions.
But, I will forever be 25 until I cannot deny my age and gravity takes its toll.

I must say though, you youngsters better enjoy yourselves now.
Once you leave to become independent...boy life could get really interesting. :)

spyderflashlcd23...You are only 16?!?!?!
Bless you son...tee hee

Hey spyder flash guy i know how u feel, i just handed in a 11 page Romeo and Juliet essay on Monday!
Whoever it was who said they could get an A easily for GCSE is either a complete idiot who is underestimating how much hard work it is (most likely) or they're a genius. If it is the latter then please feel free to come and do my exams for me :D !
