Go with the automag! its a strait up better gun, unless you put as much money into a spyder as i did

I have a Spyder 2000, not the compact version. I love it. I have put an aditional 60bucks in for aditional parts (8 hole venturi, and a High Volume cell), and I'm about to buy a new barrel. With this gun I consistantly take out players with $500-$1500 Autocockers, Defiants, mags, angels, you name it. I say go for the spyder, but then perhaps I'm a little biased

To answer your question, I've been playing for about 9 years, which some consider long, but is nowhere near as long as some guys on this board.

Sorry p8ntboy, this is your thread. Try Crom's advice, and look for a sweet second-hand one. I'm a looong-time 'Mag owner, and I'm going to tell you, all you need is a barrel. Compressed air would be ideal, and a .45 frame would be nice, but performance-wise, the barrel is all you need. Heck, if you can get an old foamie bolt, that would be great as they're a little easier on your paint. Good luck.
