Hi there

Well I have been playing paintball since the Splat ruled and can remember my first pump (Phantom)..and the Bart Stud Squad was all over the mag each month..
Anyway I have had just about every marker worth anything and I have just got rid of my third Angel and got an Eclipse Blade cocker.

I would recommend this marker to anyone as they really are much more of a delight indeed. One thing I will say is get an assortment of different size barrels as you will have to match your paint.
My next upgrade will be a Freak system for mine as you get all the inserts for the different bore sizes.

Ps. This Sunday I played a walk-on at LPS and used crappy paint that was falling out the end of the barrel and it still did not break a single ball all day and out shoot a lot of other people’s markers.

Go for the cocker m8 and you wont be disappointed, as mentioned above get a good one though (Dark Cocker, Eclipse Blade, ECT).

If you can, try to look for a second hand cocker. The US is pretty big so I am not sure whether the try before you buy thing will work. If not, I the 2k (i have one of them), 2k1 and 2k2 are all good.

The thing about buying high end cockers is that there are so many of them!

As somebody already suggeted, try as many of them as you can.

But if you have a budget to worry about (who doesn't?) then you should also consider what features you want (milling, adjustable reg, etc.) You might be spending $$ on features you don't want.

You might fine it cheaper to start with stock and mod the gun with features you like. But if you fine a high end cocker with all the right stuff for you, go for it!!

My first cocker is a 97 and I have it tuned to the point where I can give it to a newbie and he can dump a whole case without any problems. I've had no problems with it and I don't recall it falling apart after 6 months.

My second cocker is a 98 (or 99?). Actually it was a Sniper II pump and I converted it from a cocker last summer. I have it finished now and it works sweet.

Now I just bought a 2002 vertical feed cocker. I haven't made any mods yet as I am still planning what I'm gonna do to it.

Yes....it's a illness.
