Used the soft plastic lid from a Q-Tip packet. Worked a treat with no leaks, happy days....
Using 3/32 drill bit, put a few holes into the lid, popped the screw through, and cut around the head of screw, job done !

I fit and seal my QEV's with blue loctite

i use blue, but a pritstick style applicateur rather than liquid
