ok im not clued up on anything about anything when it comes to most internals for markers. never mind autocockers.

problem:

My WGP Black magic manual cocker, i tryed to use it at AAO and (maybe because of the cold) the black magic inline reg just spilt the air out of the side hole in the reg.

got it home, and left it to warm up to room temperatur and tryed gasing it up, and it seems to have a leak somewhere near the front block, or its a exhaust valve there or something?

as i said i have no idea about the workings of them so any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

It sounds like your high pressure reg is turned up too far. Having too much pressure going through the front end can blow off the hoses (usually on the LPR) and make the seals leak.

Common problem for people who use a cocker for the first time is trying to adjust the velocity using the inline reg rather than the internal velocity adjuster. This can end up with the HPR turned up way too far.

Turn the HPR right down, use your allen key to get the velocity adjuster somewhere in the middle of its range. (Take out the cocking rod and then it is either a 3/16 allen key through the same hole or if it has a rex kit then there is a small adjuster on the block in the back) Then turn up the HPR until it starts cocking and firing. Once you've got it this far fire it over a chrono and then gradually turn up the HPR until you get the velocity roughly up to 280.

For velocity adjustments after that just use the internal velocity adjuster.

What Andy said mate ^

~Be cool if you could get a pic up with an arrow of where its comming out from ^

If its out of the barrel then it could be the hpr is too low or too high like andy said..
Or your banjo might need to be tightened a bit

if your lpr is too high it might vent through the solenoid or qev's if you have any

PM me if your stuck : )

The item shown in photo is the 3 way valve. If you have air escaping from that when the gun's gassed up, it could be several things causing it.

1. LPR overpressurised...

Back off LPR completely until the gun won't cycle, then gradually increase pressure while pulling trigger, until the gun re-cocks and cycles properly. A mech cocker only needs 70-80psi to cycle fully, any more can damage the system by blowing seals or LP hoses.

2. O-ring seals need replacing on 3-way valve... Strip valve down and replace o-rings

3. 3-way valve badly out of adjustment...

The 3 way bobbin needs to sit at correct position in the valve body. If it's a long way out bobbin won't seal, and you'll get a leak from front/rear of valve body. You adjust throw (position) of 3-way relative to trigger using threaded collar on rod connecting trigger to 3-way, and this also controls the exact timing of the cocking cycle.

Hope that helps?
