The PA has agreed to make UKPSF membership compulsory from 2005, the Series 2005 will also have compulsory membership from next year. It is hoped that other event organisers will come on board.

With this in mind the UKPSF now has a photo ID system that will produce a combined membership card (UKPSF) and registartion card for a tournament.

The system will be launched on Sunday at the PA event. All PA registered players will be able to exchange their current registration card for a combined UKPSF membership card/PA registration card. Confused well it will be explained at the event.

There is a nominal charge of £2.50. You will be registered as a UKPSF member for this amount (normally £5 basic membership)

It is hoped by introducing this system at this very low cost it will encourage membership of the UKPSF.

Before the comments start compare £2.50 for a dual card to the cost of a millennium card or a card for an American event. It is not the cost of a 2 pots of paint !!!!

See you all on Sunday with your £2.50.

Steve

If the system works it will be at the Series 2004 on 18 April and then hopefully at other events in the next couple of months.

Oh, good idea btw.:) Especially if all the series adopt the card. Would stop sandbaggers, allow disipline decisions to be enforced across all events.

So how does this fit in generally with UKPSF membership and pbuk subscriptions?

Is ukpsf membership now £2.50, and includes the card?

And is that still free, if you subscribe to PBUK?

One card

Technology is great

It is a double sided card with UKPSF on one side and PA on the other. The UKPSF will be renewable every year, the PA number (I believe) is yours as long as you play the events so will remain the same next year.

The side with the PA can be redesigned for Series events, MM, Dartford, SWPL, Walk on events etc... We can produce cards for any event and you don't have to have the UKPSF on one side if your event does not want to support the UKPSF.

Hope it helps

Steve

Steve, did you change your post as I have answered a question that is now not on the previous post?????

UKPSF membership (basic) is still £5.00 and if you want the UKPSF with PBUK then it is £25.00. (the photo ID card starting date is this weekend)

We will be offering the card system this year at £2.50 to get it off the ground then membership will be £5 in 2005 or £25 with the PBUK.

We need to recover the cost of the system therefore all photo ID cards will be £2.50. I don't think players will complain about such a small amount of cash, most shoot more at the target range when they empty their hoppers at the end of an event. Based on initial estimates it will take 12/18 months to recover the cost of the equipment.

If you subscribe to the PBUK from this month then a photo ID will be included (PBUK pay the costs).

Mistake

Sorry made a mistake they should be £25 each and the UKPSF can make a nice profit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No they will be £2.50 (this year - £5 next year) in an attempt to encourage more organisers and players to come on board.

Steve;)
