I was having a talk with Ollie Lang the day before yesterday and it was suggested I do an interview with him. Normally, if one's been done already [as it has] then I'm not really interested in going over old ground but I think in this instance it gives me an opportunity to open up the floor to our p8ntballer.com members and get you guys to suggest questions.

We've done similar things before on here and so I'm guessing you know how it rolls but just in case you don't, I'll pick the best questions [most interesting] from the thread and aim them at Ollie .. Obviously, no silly questions or anything too personal otherwise I'll just ignore them.
But ... I don't want them too deferential either in that they're not really asking anything searching but questions that aren't boring or too predictable, you guys hopefully know what I mean I'm sure .. and so, the floors open to you lot, ask away guys ...

ooooooooooh short of asking If he felt "uncomfortable" returning to dynasty after his leaving and how does he think it would affect the teams season. (that kind of obvious question Pete?:D)

One thing I would ask is does he see a Pro team/league welcoming disabled players? Or would he foresee a League of their own due to difficulties that may arise on the field??? (again maybe an obvious one from me lol)

By the way, when Ollie left Dynasty in March 2006 to go the Ironmen, he came under some pretty fierce criticisms for being mercenary.
I was talking to Ollie a fair bit during that period and so I was able to have the inside track on what went down and so I wrote an article in PGi [Paintball Games International] to try and put the record straight .... looking back, I think it achieved that but it's kinda ironic we are now going back the other way ..

Anyway, for those of you who may be interested in that article from 2006, here is it's link :-

Can you ask at what point he made the jump, or felt it was necessary to take the leap, from a part time student and paintballer, to a full time paintballer? And who made this decision, did he tell his parents or confer with them while he was thinking about it( maybe he was old enough to not have to but i'm not sure)

May you also ask if he will miss Dye's hospitality? Obviously Dynasty is a world famous team and has more sponsors than you can shake a stick at and they will do their best to make himm feel at home. But it looked like Dye really backed everything Ollie did 100% and were happy to put everything they had behind him to get him to do what he does best.

Thanks in advance, Dom

didnt DYE pay ollie a ludicrous sum of money (in paintball terms) to jump ship - $100k if i recall correctly?

that - in any student's eyes - would be akin to mana sent from heaven!!!!!

I've always viewed DYE as the "Nike" of the paintball world. They seemed to have invested a lot in Ollie; dont see the logic in changing over, especially given the apparent rapport between Ollie and DYE unless something happened behind closed doors and i've just made a very naive comment.

Just curious really, how does this affect his working with dye? as i was under the impression he had a full time job with them, when not playing?

Rat i think he commented it on it somewhere, perhaps if you read the Pro paintball articles or his facebook page or something you may find out. I think Dave (youngblood) wouldn't kick him out over this, but obviously things happen so...

Besides, i think the negativity between these players can be slightly hyped up. I'd be impressed if the ironmen would turn down having a beer with ollie after he has left, as they are all friends (maybe i'm wrong).

This was 3L1te Hax, Plexo is my little brother's account and i was using his PC sorry.

Hey Robbo it would be intressting to see what ollie thinks of the comparison of the rotor over the prophecy as i asume he will now have to switch as dynasty have the empire sponsorship but in the training video he was still using the rotor.

Also would be goodto get his view on how the other members of both teams took the news about the move.

As I see it tournament paintballers will physically stop being competitive when they reach a certain age, so what would be the legacy be, that you think you would leave behind?
